DINNER PARTY IN

TIP'S & MUST DO

So we all have days when we just want to throw the men out of the house and have a proper girl's day. That's what I did.

The day started earlier for me with food preparation, and once more I have used the Great British Chefs website. The dishes take a while to cook but if you start the preparation the night before or in the morning you just need to finish it when your guests arrive.

You will have plenty of time to entertain.

After the food preparation and the table details done we went out for the day for an amazing walk from Richmond to Wimbledon, the two national parks connect, you always end up finding loads of wild life and the river view is just stunning.

Was a perfect summer day, great for a walk and of course we started with the drinks on the way.

The food on the menu was deceptively light, the vibe was chill yet chic, and the host was having as much fun as the guests.

KICK THINGS OFF IN THE KITCHEN

I like everyone to feel welcome to dive in and start doing cocktails and start the fun while I finish the preparation, we started with some champagne and some Pim's as it is the perfect party drink when the sun is out.

To keep a seated dinner casual but with the sophistication touch I have moved the dinning table to the middle of the room and we had chilled music during the meal, the house had a girly vibe, some fuchsia and old candles, with a lot of flowers and tropical vibes.

CREATE A BEAUTIFUL CENTERPIECE

No woman can resist flowers. But when food is your focus, other aromas can compete for your nose's attention. Why not to use some good quality fake plants and even citrus fruits, they're make the room feel special.

Use also some candles but make sure they are not aromatic as you don't want to take the attention from the food aromas.

If you want to use some natural flowers spread them in the house in places that they will get some attention but not be the main focus.

DO SOME HAND MADE PRESENTS FOR YOUR GUESTS

I have made some clay hearing for the girls and left them as a gift in their plates! They will remember this day every time they wear them.

SERVE ON WHITE PLATTERS

One thing I love about restaurant dining: the simple white plates.

I love to play around with the table cloth, but there is a reason behind the fact that most of the restaurants use white plates. The food looks always better in a neutral background, so you can never go wrong using a white dishes.

SERVE CHEF STYLE

After all the preparation done in the day before it will take you not more than one hour to have all the five dishes ready to serve, just ten minutes in between plates is enough for finishing.

Your guest will have an amazing time, and you will enjoy your meal at the same time.

Also when you serve your guests make sure you tell them what they are eating, describing the ingredients, you will make everyone engage in the experience.

HOUSE PARTY MUST-DOS

Have a no-shoes-allowed policy. Let the girls kick back barefoot.

Crank up the tunes. "We like upbeat old-school hits-perfect for dancing!"

Have the karaoke ready you will definitely use it after cocktails and dinner!
